Become A Safer Spot
All across Canada we are reaching out to local business owners, giving them the chance to participate in the safety and mobility of women in their communities.
Becoming A Safer Spot is free and easy if you are a locally owned business that has:
- Consistent hours of operation;
- Well-lit premises;
- And a welcoming place where women can meet for posted walks, or get help if in trouble.
Local small business owners that identify as A Safer Spot present a sticker on the outside entrance of their business, viewable from street level, as well as supporting A Safer Walk with awareness of the service for women.
Participating local business owners also get listed on A Safer Walk’s Walk Map, viewable by app users when planning walks and rides in the city. Who knows? You could be the start or final destination of a safer walk and a new social connection.
